Working for artists

Julie Anne Denton often works in unison with artists who usually work in different mediums, but wish to add glass to their ouevre. In this example, Julie was commissioned to work with fine artist Eline Kersten to create elegant hourglasses to house melted ice cores sampled from the Antarctic.

Ice samples range from 1,000 – 15,000 years old

Globus Department Store

Julie Anne Denton was commissioned by Globus, Basel to work in their window. This window faced the main shopping street. She created her artwork there for six days a week, for six weeks. The brief was to interact with the crowd on the other side of the window whilst embodying the quintessence of handmade, quality and authenticity which the Globus brand wanted to be associated with at that time.
